5 things you should know about ceramic coils

Vape cartridge contents are produced in many ways, such as the use of ceramic coils, resulting in distillates that can contain many different ingredients. The use of cartridges for vaping is becoming more popular. One reason for this is because of the evolution of the devices themselves. They are portable, discreet, and less pungent than flower. While there might be exceptions, vape cartridges can largely be classified as high or low quality.

Typically, low-quality cartridges are made from plastic. This means that the oil can seep through plastic, which can leach chemicals from the oil. Also, standard cartridges may have O rings that leak. Another issue with standard cartridges is that they may have pre-moistened wicks. These are primed with glycerin or propylene glycol that can cause allergic reactions in some people.

High-quality cartridges on the other hand are made of premium materials, such as glass, metal, and ceramics. They have properly sized O rings that have sealed joints. This prevents contact between the air and cartridge contents. However, coils are one of the most important parts of the vaping experience.

One of the biggest differences between ceramic coils and standard coils is the way that they are made. Ceramic coils contain no wick. However, most standard coils rely on a wire and fiber wick combination. Instead of wick, most ceramic coils contain a layer of ceramic. Another important thing to consider is distillates. Because ceramic is porous, ceramic coils will absorb oil distillates that are heated to produce vapor. This is why ceramic coils produce better flavor quality compared to standard coils.

There are several reasons to choose a ceramic coil over the standard choice. The ceramic coil is one of the biggest breakthroughs in vaping in recent years. The use of ceramics improve longevity and protect against issues like oxidation of the metal.

  1. First ceramic coils have optimum viscosity. Ceramic coils use a thicker viscosity than wicking coil cartridges. This is because the heating element and fiber tube in ceramic coils will not degrade.
  2. Another benefit is that ceramic coils do not leave a burnt taste from dry hits. Ceramic coils reduce the likelihood of experiencing the burnt taste that comes with a dry hit.
  3. Spit backs are also an issue. Ceramic coils reduce the chance of spit back because any e-liquid that comes out of the coil must travel through the ceramic before reaching the mouthpiece. Small pores within the ceramics prevent distillates from pooling around the coil.
  4. Temperature is another factor. Ceramic coils provide excellent temperature regulation. Standard coils have no temperature controls at all and are more likely to overheat. With that said, a ceramic coil provides better vapor integrity. They allow for more juice to be vaporized while steadily maintaining the delivery of the distillate.
  5. Lastly, ceramic coils are resilient and have self-cleaning properties. This means less maintenance and more time vaping.

Ultimately, ceramic coils represent a major development in vaping. Ceramic coils certainly produce a very clean flavor. There is nothing in a ceramic coil that will react or otherwise interfere with the flavor of your terpenes. The increased surface area stemming from the porous ceramic material should also mean more juice is vaporized with each puff, which also contributes to flavor. If you do decide to use ceramic coils, we encourage you to use ceramic coils by DMLift Inc for the ultimate vape experience.
